Testimonials

I have enjoyed my time at CueBall Snooker Club played in Tobermore, it has been a good experience, I have played quite a number of players including professional players such as Joe Swail. Mark Allen and the legend Jimmy White. My best memory in competitive matches has been a final in the 1st season where I Lost the final to William McKenzie 3-0 but to get there was incredible. A match that stands out for me was being 18 points behind with 18 left on table and potting the blue pink and black to level up the scores, I did lose the black ball respot but it is the closeness of the frame which I love to be involved in.

My best match was a final against Warren Elgin, this was a player that I seemed to always lose against and I had already lost to this man in a shield final, I got this opportunity to play Warren in another Shield Final and this time I win 3-0 which was my best match.

William McKenzie

I was having a bad season on the table in season 2018-2019 and this was my last ranking competition, I was drawn against Warren Elgin in the 1st round in a best of 3. Warren hammered me in the 1st frame by over 40 points and the 2nd frame I stole it on the black ball when Warren fouled on the black ball. It was 1-1 and my confidence was lifted and the deciding frame I stood within distance of Warren throughout the frame and was slightly ahead going into colours, Warren does not give up and I just needed pink to win the match, Warren got the pink to take it to the black ball but he left the black close to the middle pocket, all I had to do is touch it put it in and I took my time and then I MISSED it, incredible miss and Warren win the match on the black, I was gutted but so pleased I was competitive in this match.

I enjoy the high pressure matches especially if they are tight or I have come from behind to win although there were plenty I lost. I enjoy most games apart from the ones I don’t play as well as I should. I also enjoyed the chance of playing the professional players who have visited over the years.
